Japanse autofabrikanten bouwen 12.000 oplaadpunten in eigen land
AMSTERDAM – Japanse autofabrikanten gaan samenwerken om de introductie van elektrische auto’s in het Aziatische land te versnellen.
Dit melden Nissan, Toyota, Honda en Mitsubishi maandag. Ze willen in totaal 12.000 oplaadpunten bouwen, waarvan 4.000 snellaadpunten.
Japan heeft nu ongeveer 4.700 oplaadpunten, maar een derde hiervan is niet meer op technologisch niveau.
Strijd om elektrische auto’s
Japanse automakers hebben de strijd om elektrische auto’s voor lange tijd geleid met de Nissan Leaf en de Toyota Prius, maar ze ondervinden nu serieuze concurrentie uit het buitenland.
BMW introduceert maandag de i3 en zet hoog in op de nieuwe elektrische auto. Het Amerikaanse concern Tesla introduceerde een halfjaar geleden de Model S en breek de eigen verkooprecords hiermee.
